Growing up, I knew I was a talented person but I didn't have the raw skill. I always had to work for what I wanted and that made me relentless. I remember being in middle school playing saxophone for a school concert and all I could think of was to get better at it. The only that mattered was to bring home my instrument and practice. Then with time, that mindset also applied to volleyball in high school. My purpose there was to get stronger, faster and to do great for my sport. By the end of the season, I was MVP. Now that I'm applying for colleges, I don't have a safe school. I don't need one. I've worked hard all these years and I'm confident in my abilities. This song always reminds me to work hard for whatever it is that I want.
