My grandfather was supposed to record this song with his brother Alberto back in the 80's. The song starts off with Alberto singing and my grandfather was going to record the rest with him but Alberto died in a car accident so they never finished the song. He didn't want to be a famous singer but he wanted us to have something to hold on to to feel his spirit with us whenever we missed him. He went on to record two other songs and finish this song in 2013. He passed away this past February of this year. I hear this song and I can picture the times we would go to church to sing to the Virgin Mary in December or when I would go to his house and he would be playing the trumpet by the window. I listened to this song most out of the three recordings. I had auditioned for our school's musical before he got sick. After he passed, I wasn't liking the idea that my family would be incomplete when they went to see me perform but I would listen to this song and I would let go of those feelings. I knew his spirit was there supporting me.
