My passion for music began at a young age when I started playing the trumpet. I would get home from school and forget any drama I might have had during the day by playing my trumpet. I eventually joined the high school marching band and was introduced to a new world of music. As a way to get the group to bond and see musicians perform at high levels, we went to watch a drum corps show. One the corps, the Blue Coats, performed this piece and I fell in love with music all over again. This performance inspired me to join a corp myself and pursue music after high school.
