One day after a long weekend of rehearsal, I was riding in the car with my friend Denea. All I remember was us complaining about the tough weeks ahead and how tired we were. I remember driving, taking a deep breath and trying to forget about all the bitchin' that will get me nowhere. Randomly, I decided to play some J. Cole to distract the mind and this song comes on. As soon as this started to play we found ourselves tuning in and shutting the world out. The song speaks about believing that no matter the mistakes you've made in your past you are on the verge of becoming a better you. To this day we listen to the song and automatically think of those car rides, those moments where it felt like nothing mattered but us connecting to such a powerful song.
